Job Summary

The College for Public Health and Social Justice at Saint Louis University seeks a highly motivated individual to join the Maternal and Child Health Center of Excellence (MCH CoE) as a full-time Program Manager. This position will report to the Principal Investigator and Project Director (PI/PD) of the Center. The overarching duties are to work closely with PI/PD and provide programmatic support to achieve the HRSA funded project goals.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Closely collaborate with project partners at the local, state, regional, and national levels to implement programs in accordance with goals of MCH CoE.
  • Coordinate the activities involving the Title V Directors of Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa and other Advisory Board members.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with MCH CoE alumni and coordinate regular communications.
  • Coordinate collaborations among over 20 affiliated faculty.
  • Develop and identify program management methods to enhance data collection and promote quality improvement.
  • Meet with faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders regularly to expand MCH competency curriculum development and monitor work plans.
  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and attend regular events for the program.
  • Assist PD in conducting evaluations to demonstrate effective grant implementation, and in preparation of all grant-related products/deliverables and reports.
  • Assist PD in student recruitment, student advising, student tracking and competency measurement.
  • Coordinate and host biannual Advisory Board Meetings.
  • Assist PD in organizing and keeping track of all curricular changes and student issues (e.g., changes in courses, tracking of internship experiences and products, performance measurement, etc.)
  • Utilize current social media applications and develop new modalities to connect the MCH program to the larger MCH community.
  • Work with College staff to develop outreach and recruitment materials for MPH students.
  • Supervise MCH Research Assistants and other students who will participate in the Center's activities.
  • Conduct regional needs assessments of MCH professionals to determine their continuing education and technical assistance needs.
  • Other tasks that PD assigns.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to perform duties and tasks independently.
  • Ability to initiate and maintain cooperative working relationships with students and other partners.
  • Possess skills in analyzing information, identifying problems, applying procedures, and formulating alternatives for resolution.
  • Background knowledge in the field of maternal & child health and/or Title V.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Familiarity with, or strong interest in learning website software.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in public health with MCH concentration or closely related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Highly prefer an MPH degree in a CEPH accredited MCH program.
  • Prior working experience with a HRSA funded MCH CoE.

This position is being funded by a HRSA grant, therefore continuation in this position is contingent upon funding availability.
