Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Business Development Analyst to join our Latin American division. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in identifying growth opportunities, analyzing market trends, and supporting strategic initiatives to enhance our competitive position in both the Midstream Energy and Power Generation sectors. Office to be based in Houston, TX or Panama City, Panama

Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and market trends in the Latin American Midstream Energy and Power Generation sectors.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive market intelligence reports and databases.
  • Assist and support the development of strategic business plans for growing ET's Latin America business portfolio by providing insights and recommendations based on data-driven analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of business plans and proposals, and presentations for potential partnerships and investments.
  • Prepare comprehensive presentations of business development initiatives and project updates for a wide variety of audiences - senior management, internal stakeholders, and external (private and governmental) stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation and submission of customer proposals, public tenders, and request for proposals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, legal, and commercial stakeholders to support the execution of business development strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities and industry developments.
  • Create project and portfolio marketing materials
  • Support the negotiation and execution of commercial agreements and contracts.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities.
  • Must be comfortable with travel to Latin American and Caribbean countries on a consistent basis.
  • Conduct our business in an ethical manner and serve as a model of ethics and compliance for others.


Requirements:


Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in business development, market analysis, financial analysis or a related role within the Midstream Energy, Power Generation or related industries.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, including the ability to think creatively and work collaboratively to find solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis tools.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:



  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

Working Conditions:

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
