Maintenance Mechanical Specialist

Day Shift

The Maintenance Mechanical Specialist is an experienced Mechanical minded individual who excels at planning, sourcing parts and materials, managing contractor resources, and assisting in troubleshooting Mechanical systems and components

Responsibilities:

• 
  
  
  
  • Comply with all company and site policies and procedures.
  • Assist technicians and engineers in troubleshooting Mechanical system problems such as:
    
    
    
    • Pumps, Piping, Tanks and vessels, Torque specifications, Material usage and requirements, Welding and Other Mechanical systems
    
    
    
    
  • Manage and direct contract Mechanical labor for troubleshooting, maintenance, or installation of Mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Create and manage work scopes for Mechanical contractor tasks
  • Source and procure parts and materials as required for Mechanical work
  • Act as fast response planner for emergent Mechanical work.
  • Recommend and direct PM activities
  • Direct yearly Mechanical shutdown
  • Interface with Mechanical vendors and contractors for maintenance and other related activities.
  • Engage in the development and commissioning of capital projects as needed
  • Participate in site improvement initiatives
  
  
  
  

Education & Experience:

• 
  
  
  
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience related to the job roles & responsibilities
  • Ability to read and update (red line) Mechanical documents such as schematics, specifications, control diagrams, P&IDs, and one-line diagrams.
  • Thorough knowledge of Chemical industry Mechanical systems
  • Thorough knowledge of Pump operation
  • Knowledge of welding materials and techniques
  • Knowledge of ASME codes
  • Knowledge of mechanical soft material usage (gaskets, seals, etc.)
  • Experience with SAP
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  
  
  
  

Preferred Education & Experience:

• 
  
  
  
  • Experience working in an industrial maintenance organization
  • Chemical manufacturing experience
  • Field troubleshooting experience
  • Contractor management experience
  • Maintenance planning experience
  • Relevant experience in Maintenance in the chemical, power, or refining industries.
  • Knowledge of SAP PM module
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience with contractor management
  • Experience with maintenance planning
  • Experience with Arc Flash protection requirements
