Talentrise is seeking a Sr Purchaser / Estimator in the Buffalo/Niagara area.
Responsible for all aspects of construction hard cost from base models to optional purchases. Create descriptions for new options priced.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Update hard cost budgets
- Price special quotes
- Prepare and preview customer quotes
- Create new price book options
- Price hard cost for new models
- Update and maintain models, options and supplier cost take-offs in Newstar software
- Approve invoices and purchase orders
- Create and process window purchase orders
- Develop templates to process new projects

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive Construction Knowledge - Minimum of 5 years' experience in residential construction administration (preferred) or commercial construction (acceptable) or related field
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Must know how to perform material take-offs
- Ability to provide exceptional quality service to external and internal customers
- Maintain professional demeanor
- Proven ability to maintain positive relationships with people at all levels of an organization
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
- Must have excellent computer skills with exceptional understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google/Gmail; and Internet applications
- Positive attitude, dependable, self-starter
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and projects
- Effective management of workload with minimal direction
- Capable of maintaining confidentiality
- Residential construction administration, commercial construction, project management, or related field

ERGONOMIC REQUIREMENTS
- The functions of the position are usually performed sitting but may require some amount of time standing. Some amount of stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting, walking, carrying and other movements may be required.
- Tasks may also involve working on a computer keyboard, computer software applications, calculator, cutting, labeling, and taping involve extensive wrist and hand movement.
- All individuals are required to be able to perform these movements without significant risk of injury to themselves or others.
