Summary: The primary function of this position is the execution of the build schedule to ensure on time customer delivery. In addition, the Supervisor will be responsible for adhering to quality standards, tracking of key metrics and fostering an environment of continuous improvement. Essential Duties:
- Execution of manufacturing schedule to ensure customer on time delivery
- Attends daily production meetings to review build plans and to work jointly with Materials to identify any risk in meeting plan
- Develops work-around plans to mitigate risk to ensure customer on time delivery
- Ensures safety policies are adhered to including policy for notification of incident and follow through of appropriate actions
- Tracks key metrics daily/weekly/monthly
- Ensures timely root cause analysis is performed and corrective actions initiated for gaps in key metric performance versus targets. Root cause analysis will be conducted utilizing standard approach per corporate policies and procedures
- Assists in the development of departmental budget and manages activities to accomplish financial objectives
- Ensures corporate and departmental policies and procedures are followed
- Participates in Kaizen events, also to include lean manufacturing principles (visual, 5S, KanBan, etc)
- Tracks headcount per Corporate goals; hire and replace as required
- Develops and tracks training needs per corporate goals
- Conducts employee annual performance reviews
- Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Adheres to all quality and safety standards
- Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
- Attend applicable internal or external customer meetings
- Participate on special project teams
- Support new product introduction activities
Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:
- Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5 plus years experience
- Must be able to speak, read and understand English
- Proficient technical expertise with demonstrated application
- Experience with Industrial Engineering concepts and 5S/6S techniques
- Knowledge and familiarity with standards (ISO, AS, etc)
- Possesses effective oral and written communication skills
- Possesses quality orientation and high attention to detail
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, employees and managers at all levels within the company
- Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office)
