Job Description:
Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health has Director Level opportunity for a dynamic and forwarding thinking Leader in Surgical Services. With over 9,700 surgical cases annually, in eleven operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms, Oklahoma Children's Hospital is the State's leader pediatric surgical care.We work with specialists across pediatric general surgery, pediatric cardiovascular, pediatric ENT, pediatric gastroenterology, pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric ophthalmology, pediatric orthopedics, pediatric plastic surgery, pediatric urology and oral surgery. The Director position oversees the following departments: Outpatient Surgery, Cardiac Operating Rooms, Operating Rooms, GI/Procedures, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and Sterile Processing. General Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Master's level education required; without a BSN, Master's level of education must be a MSN Experience: Experience: 5 to 7 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare facility required. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of nursing principles and techniques related to assigned department(s). Knowledge of managerial functions such as ability to solve practical problems, maintain a budget, report writing and performance improvement tools. Good computer skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal communication skills for interaction with staff, patients and medical professionals.
