Manager, Retail Operations Best Practices

Position Summary

Adidas is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Manager, Retail Operations Best Practices to drive operational excellence across our retail stores. This role will be responsible for leading the development, standardization, and maintenance of retail back-office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), within our House of Retail, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and compliance across all retail locations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for process optimization and a deep understanding of retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

SOP Development & Maintenance



  • Lead the creation, documentation, and continuous improvement of standardized back-office operating procedures for Adidas retail stores.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including our Global Retail Ops, Finance, IT, Legal, Training, HR and Security, to ensure SOPs align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement a structured approach to updating and maintaining SOPs as business needs evolve.



Operational Excellence & Compliance



  • Ensure retail back-office processes support a seamless and efficient store operation, reducing complexity and improving accuracy.
  • Driving House of Retail as our "one stop shop" for all things operations.
  • Monitor store compliance with established SOPs, identifying opportunities for training and reinforcement.
  • Conduct audits and gap analyses to ensure process adherence and recommend corrective training as needed.



Training & Implementation



  • Develop training materials and programs to educate store teams on new and existing back-office procedures.
  • Partner with Retail Training teams to integrate SOPs into onboarding and ongoing development programs.
  • Act as the go-to resource for retail store teams, providing guidance and support for back-office operations.



Technology & Process Optimization



  • Work closely with IT and retail systems teams to enhance digital tools and platforms supporting back-office operations.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation and technology to streamline processes.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and innovations to continuously improve Adidas' retail operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills




  • 5+ years of experience in retail operations, process management, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of retail store operations, inventory management, and financial procedures.
  • Proven ability to document, implement, and maintain standardized processes.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
  • Experience with retail management systems and workflow automation tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team
  • Experience with SharePoint a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time within North America
