Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior IT Program Manager to join our growing team! In this role, you will lead a team of Program and Project Managers covering a variety of strategic and complex programs with significant scope and impact supporting several business areas.You will be focused on executing and delivering upon the business commitments and ensuring the long-range financial plans are achieved. In this position, you will work with cross functional senior leaders and their respective teams as a strategic PMO partner to enable the IT Growth and Efficiency Consumer group projects meet the scope, budget, and timeline of the effort.As a leader of the program team, you will be responsible for supervising and driving the execution and delivery of strategic programs and projects.

As a Senior IT Program Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide direction and leadership to a program and project management team to ensure the project team has a clear understanding of timelines, risks, escalation path and roles/responsibilities they will undertake within the project team
  • Manage large-scale, intricate projects with significant impact on the organization, often involving cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to overall project strategy, identifying potential risks, and developing mitigation plans
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
  • Manageand increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the program management team by implementing operating and engagement models with cross departmental PMOs
  • Regularly prepareand communicate project status updates to senior executives, and other stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress and actuals against budgets to ensure achievement of financial and operational goals
  • Act as a key point of contact for IT, Business and Product stakeholders on critical projects; holding a leadership role within the project management function, managing both projects and project managers themselves
  • Partnercross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
  • Ensure projects adhere to service level agreements and deliver expected outcomes
Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • 10+ years managing Telecommunication programs and projects
  • 8+ years leading and managing a team of Project Managers
  • Proven track record of success executing and delivering complex Telecommunication projects
  • Extensive experience in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation abilities
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Financial management and budgeting expertise
  • Deep understanding of business operations and strategic objectives

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Experience in Project Management Office people management and cross-functional team leadership
  • Understanding of core TELCO IT infrastructure and service concepts
  • Project management training, PMP or Prince2 certification or equivalent
