* Experience working with colocation data centers * Experience migrating out of local data centers * Experience shutting down and clearing out local data centers *Description* Our client is working to centralize their data center footprint. This position will be responsible for working with multiple internal teams as well as our selected data center vendor during our move from on-premises data centers to colocation data centers. The successful candidate needs to have knowledge of how to bring a new data center online, the ability to report on the migrations to the new data center, decommission our legacy data centers, and work with our colocation partner as required. *Skills* Data center operations, Data center, Data center migration, Troubleshooting *Additional Skills & Qualifications* *Work with the Compute, Network, and InfoSec teams as well as our data center partner to ensure the data center build is successful *Track equipment orders and installations *Ensure no single rack is drawing more power than we are paying for *Ensure access to the new data center is granted as required *Monitor data center environmental readings at new data center *Prepare for the Data Center go live *Work with the Compute team on the data center migration plan and ensure planned dates are met *Create and maintain data center elevation drawings *Maintain data center inventory *Weekly data center migration reporting *Close old datacenters: oCoordinate the removal of the old air handling equipment oCoordinate the removal of old UPS / battery equipment oCoordinate the removal and destruction of old compute and network hardware oCoordinate any required cable mining oLeave old data centers "broom clean" oCoordinate with building maintenance to release space back to the building *Work to bring up international data center Colo's as required *Work to bring up our second colocation site: oCage build oTrack equipment orders oTrack equipment installation oData Center go live *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
