This role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of the Executive Director's office and facilitating effective communication and decision-making processes. The Division of Health Social Work serves as a centralized hub for social workers and other integrated health providers, fostering an environment that empowers professionals to improve the health and enhance the well-being in partnership with patients, families, and communities. Through cutting-edge models and comprehensive services, the division creates tangible value within the healthcare ecosystem while championing whole-person care and interprofessional collaboration. Functioning as a formalized collaborative structure, the Division of Health Social Work unites interprofessional missions, cultivating synergies that drive impactful, patient-centric care. PurposeProvides executive-level administrative and logistical support to the Executive Director, the Director, and the expanding Division of Health Social Work. Independently responsible for complex administrative decisions on division matters. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a high degree of initiative, diplomacy, confidentiality, and sound judgment. A Bachelor's degree with at least five (5) years of experience in advanced administrative functions, or a High School Diploma/GED with nine (9) years of experience, is required. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and time-management skills. A self-starter, they must demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Flexibility, adaptability, empathy, and a professional demeanor are essential. The candidate must efficiently manage diverse and unpredictable workflows, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and tactfully with all levels of management, faculty, and staff. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills are required, along with the ability to navigate complex procedures, analyze challenges, develop solutions, and resolve issues. The ability to collaborate effectively within a team and quickly learn new technologies and systems is also essential. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred QualificationsExtensive experience as an Executive Assistant, exceeding the required qualifications, with a background in higher education supporting an Executive Director. Proven expertise in scheduling and calendar management for executives. Familiarity with university systems such as Workday, DEFINE, and Smartsheet, and a strong working knowledge of UT policies and procedures.
