Peachford Hospital is a 246-bed private psychiatric hospital located in the thriving north Atlanta suburb of Dunwoody. Over the last 50 years, Peachford has been the leader in providing mental health and addictive disease treatment for children, adolescents, adults and senior. Every year, nearly 10,000 patients seek care from our 500+ compassionate staff members.

Our busy Intake and Admissions Department is searching for a Call Specialist to be the first point of contact with referral sources, hospital emergency rooms and other healthcare professionals. This position requires someone with a get it done attitude who can complete multiple competing tasks in a timely fashion. This is a Friday/Saturday/Sunday position working 9 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Job Summary: Call Specialists coordinate many aspects of the admissions process. This includes efficient and effective handling of inquiry calls, processing of referrals for possible admission, communication with referral sources and customers who present for assessment. Call Specialists represent Peachford and its programs to all those inquiring for services and serve as a liaison between Peachford and referral sources, patients and families. The primary function of the Call Specialist is to facilitate referrals between referring mobile crisis agencies, hospitals and other referral sources in support of Peachford Hospital. The Call Specialist prioritizes those referrals and provides exceptional customer service to all partnering agencies through thorough and accurate documentation of calls and other admissions related paperwork, which is another critical component of the job.

Key Abilities: This individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy and discretion are essential. This individual must have the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Professional demeanor and appearance required. Prior customer service or sales experience in a fast paced environment would be helpful in helping the hospital respond to callers seeking care for themselves or others.


Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of one year experience in human services, social services, psychiatric, mental health or call center setting performing crisis intervention, telephone triage and inquiry call management with a specialized focus on customer service.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or social services field is a minimum requirement although other degrees may be considered for candidates with top-grade customer service/sales experience. Candidates with a Master's degree in social work or clinical counseling and candidates with applicable licensure are also encouraged apply.
