Build the future of the AI Data Cloud. Join the Snowflake team.

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to join our Customer-Facing Solution Engineering Team. This role is ideal for a highly technical and customer-oriented professional with deep expertise in Azure, Databricks, and the Lakehouse architecture. You will play a key role in guiding our enterprise customers on best practices for modern data architecture, helping them understand how Snowflake differentiates and enhances their data strategies.

The person we're looking for shares our passion for reinventing the data platform and thrives in a dynamic environment. That means having the flexibility and willingness to jump in and get it done to make Snowflake and our customers successful. It means keeping up to date on the ever-evolving data and analytics technologies, and working collaboratively with a broad range of people inside and outside the company to be an authoritative resource for Snowflake and its customers.

AS A ENTERPRISE DATA ARCHITECT AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
  • Engage with enterprise customers to architect scalable, high-performance, and cost-efficient data solutions leveraging Snowflake in conjunction with Azure and Databricks.

  • Design and optimize data architectures based on Lakehouse principles, guiding customers on best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and analytics.

  • Lead technical discussions and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept (POCs) showcasing Snowflake's value proposition.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Product, and Engineering) to align solutions with customer needs and Snowflake's roadmap.

  • Advocate for Snowflake's ecosystem by articulating integration patterns with Azure services (e.g., ADLS, Synapse, Fabric) and Databricks.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and provide thought leadership on cloud data management, data engineering, and AI/ML enablement.

  • Educate and enable customers on migration strategies from legacy data warehouses, on-prem solutions, and competing cloud platforms to Snowflake.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or solution architecture roles.

  • Deep expertise in Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Synapse, and Azure Fabric.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Spark, and MLflow.

  • Proven track record in designing and implementing Lakehouse architectures for large-scale enterprise customers.

  • Expertise in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT frameworks for data transformation and analytics.

  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices in the cloud.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.

  • Experience in customer-facing roles (pre-sales, consulting, or customer success) is a plus.

BONUS POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING:
  • Snowflake experience and certification (e.g., SnowPro Advanced: Architect) are highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with competing platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery) and hybrid/multi-cloud strategies.

  • Understanding of AI/ML and analytics workloads in a modern data ecosystem.

  • Industry experience in financial services, healthcare, retail, or other data-intensive sectors.

  • Big 5 Consulting experience

  • Experience with non-relational platforms and tools for large-scale data processing (e.g. Hadoop, HBase)

  • Expertise in a core vertical such as Financial Services, Retail, Media & Entertainment, Healthcare, Life-Sciences etc.
