SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The Architect, Corporate Systems will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-wide corporate applications and platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role will collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions that support NextDecade's growth and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain the architecture roadmap for corporate systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology solutions that improve business processes and system performance.
  • Lead system architecture efforts for corporate applications such as SAP S4/HANA, Workday HRIS, ServiceNow, Opentext, and other cloud-based enterprise platforms.
  • Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and governance policies for system architecture and data management.
  • Work closely with IT security to ensure corporate systems adhere to cybersecurity policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to IT and business teams on system enhancements and optimizations.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and trends to recommend innovations that enhance system capabilities.
  • Manage vendor relationships and technology partnerships to ensure effective system support and upgrades.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT architecture, system design, and enterprise application management.
  • Expertise in corporate applications such as SAP S4/HANA, Workday HRIS, ServiceNow, Opentext, and other cloud-based enterprise platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of system integration, APIs, middleware, and data governance.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing technology projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and initiatives.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.

* Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.

* While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent may be required to talk or hear.
* The incumbent is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
* Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities.
* Able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
