Responsibilities
Page is seeking a Project Architect to join our Austin, Texas team. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset that is interested in our shared success. Candidate should be interested in working on Aviation, R+D, or other technically driven, performance criterium focused projects. We have many active projects in Austin, TX and are committed to shaping the quality of its built environment for generations to come. The ideal candidate will have experience with a wide-range of complex projects within any of the following market sectors: Aviation, Advanced Manufacturing, Transportation, Commercial, Healthcare, or Science & Technology.
You will be a pivotal contributor on exciting projects helping to build our culture within the Page offices. We are seeking a candidate with 8+ years' experience and someone who is motivated to deliver high quality design solutions that are technically innovative. You must have the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of technical, professional and managerial professionals, and thrive in a constantly changing work environment. Responsibilities for this role also include:
- Lead project team, both internal and external, to improved project outcomes;
- Align project delivery with schedule, stated goals, and other project criterium;
- Forecasting and organizing project design development and delivery;
- Identifying and addressing design related issues as well as following protocol and procedures in order to reach the best resolution;
- Work with project design team to Imagine, evaluate, and implement technical design solutions to achieve project goals;
- Train and mentor architectural staff;
- Understanding, describing, and implementing design solutions in code compliance and other project criterium;
- Proficiency in construction administrative processes;
- Working on projects with Client/Owner/Contractor relationships, budget, schedule, code and jurisdictional requirements;
- Project on-site assistance.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong leadership, organization, and communication skills both written and verbal;
- Degree in Architecture from an accredited university;
- 8+ years of experience across the following market sectors: Aviation, Civic/Community/Culture, and/or Commercial Mixed Use;
- License in Architecture (Registered Architect);
- Proficiency with REVIT;
- Leadership skills in overseeing a team;
- Ability to create construction project documents in all phases in Revit;
- Self-directed with clear and succinct communication and interpersonal skills;
- Experience in organizing project design development and production delivery;
- Skilled at identifying and addressing issues as well as following protocol and procedure in order to reach the best resolution;
- Successful at leading and organizing a team of multiple disciplines and consultants;
- Experience working with governing authorities on obtaining building permits documenting code review and approvals;
- Strong architect and detailing skills and proficiency in construction administrative processes;
- An understanding of construction processes and methods and how it impacts the project;
- The ability to work judiciously with an even temperament, to prioritize multiple tasks and adjust work accordingly to meet deadlines while fostering a collaborative and supportive office culture.
