Position Summary: In this position, the PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance and Security Project Administrator will work with the various endpoint support groups to maintain Hopkins PCI compliance as well as established security standards. One of the primary roles of this position is to facilitate the relationship with the Bluefin vendor P2P portal and act as an interface between the LAN Administrators and customers to ensure all procedures are followed. They will be considered the application owner of the Paywire/Payscout relationship with Hopkins. This individual will also be responsible for collaborating and reporting the status of PCI efforts to the Treasury departments for both JHHS and JHU. They will track all device inventory from inception to decommission and account for support recoveries.

The PCI Compliance and Security Admin will work with the QSA (Qualified Security Assessor) to ensure all requirements are complied with. They will produce reports and work with the various teams to correct any inconsistencies or shortcomings. Act as a direct resource for troubleshooting software or device issues. Work with the engineering team to validate new software or driver versions. They will work with the teams and be directly involved in procurement, distribution, installation, decommissioning, and device documentation.

The secondary role will be working with the LAN Administrators to ensure all endpoint hardware is in compliance with current security standards. This position will travel to the various campuses and satellite clinics as needed. This position will be running reports and working with LAN groups, Enterprise Desktop Engineering, and the Change Management Admins to ensure all security measures are in place as well as remediate as necessary. This will include systems on the network running supporting operating systems, current versions of software, all patches applied, encryption, anti-virus, etc. They will verify that Active Directory standards are complied with, including service account standards and administrative access.

The PCI Compliance and Security Admin uses several management applications to ensure tasks are successful and IT@JH standards have been met, which include, but are not limited to, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, ServiceNow, JIRA, and Bomgar.

Supplemental job functions:




  • PCI endpoint compliance - Run reports and ensure 100% of payment systems are isolated to the PCI-A/B VLANs. Work with Admins and networking as needed.
  • Paywire application owner - Primary contact for the Paywire application and vendor relationship.
  • P2P Manager portal administrator - Responsible for maintaining the P2P portal, device management, and attestation.
  • PCI Device Inventory Management and Recovery - Track all PCI hardware from the time of purchase, transfer, attestation, and decommissioning, as well as track the support recovery for each device.
  • Security endpoint liaison-Serve as the primary contact for endpoint security issues. Collect relevant logs with the Incident Response Team in EMMS, remediate potential threats, and collaborate with local teams for reimaging as necessary. Proactively run endpoint security reports and remediate as necessary.
  • Java Console License Administrator - Track licensed Java users, version control, and endpoint application owner.

Required Education: BS/BA in IT-related field.

JHH: Related experience beyond minimum training experience qualifications may substitute for formal education requirement on a two years experience-for-one-year education basis.

Required Experience: Four to Six years of related experience. Additional education can be substituted for experience.

Salary Range: Minimum 30.08 per hour - Maximum 52.65 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
