The Part Time (19.5 hours weekly) Food Service Assistant is responsible for assisting in all food preparation and supporting kitchen operations within CTI's Child and Family Services Division

Duties & Responsibilities



  1. Assist in preparation of snacks and meals for centers, satellite sites and meetings as needed.
  2. Set up, deliver, pick up and break down of meal carts.
  3. Maintain appliance temperature and food temperature logs.
  4. Maintain clean work areas including prep tables, storage spaces, refrigerators and stoves in accordance with sanitation and safety guidelines.
  5. Wash dishes, pots, and pans and run dish machine.
  6. Assist with inventory, including receiving inventory and stocking of shelves.
  7. Maintain strict food safety and personal hygiene standards.
  8. Attend regular food service meetings and mandatory food service trainings.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Previous experience in food service operations preferred.
  • General knowledge of food preparation and nutrition.
  • Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • TB Risk Assessment and/or Mantoux results required annually.
  • Must be able to pass background check which includes fingerprinting
  • Physical Exam and immunizations (2 MMR or positive titer) required.


Education:

High School or Equivalent
