We pro-actively partner with business areas to develop new capabilities, build reliable solutions, and efficiently manage the corporation's investment in technology and end-to-end processes.The Global team in Hallmark Technology supports our core Global business with Technology solutions to drive efficiency and ease of use for our business partners. This organization is responsible for identifying and delivering technology strategies and solutions that advance consumer and retail priorities for Hallmark Gold Crown & mass channel retail, Hallmark Digital, and Supply Chain. We are a fast paced, agile team with an effective team culture! We play a key role in managing an effective relationship between IT and our Global business partners, as well as helping advance the development and implementation of a multi-year technology roadmap.

WHAT THIS ROLE ENTAILS AND HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the configuration, and maintenance of the component of Teradata and Power BI software and will assist in the planning, designing, and architecting of Data model in Teradata, BI dashboards, reports across a variety of platforms and databases.

In this role you will:



  • Develop, execute, maintain and troubleshoot SQL scripts
  • Add, maintain and document data model objects for Integrated Data Warehouse
  • Develop and foster positive relationship and transparent dialogue with the business and data community
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to implement Product Lifecycle management solutions according to Product specifications
  • Develop customizations and integrations to enhance the functionality of our Product Lifecycle management solution
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure successful project delivery
  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure the quality and integrity of the solutions
  • Prepare technical documentation, including system designs, deployment plans, and user guides
  • Stay up to date with the latest product features and industry best practices



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:



  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years' professional work experience
  • Experience in technology software development in a Data Organization
  • Experience with software development processes, backlog management, and requirements translation
  • Experience with collaboration and discovery and stakeholder alignment across cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Teradata, Power BI, Python, Unix



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume will stand out if you have:



  • Experience in Product Lifecycle Management applications
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and tools (ADO, Jira, etc.) to manage projects effectively
  • Deep understanding of data relationships to enable System-to-System performance and accuracy
  • Familiarity with application testing, debugging and analysis of issues
  • Strong technical acumen and familiarity with software development processes, programming languages, data analytics, or other technical domains relevant to the product are highly desirable
  • Strong technical skills to interpret and analysis data using SQL
  • Proven background in collaboration and creative problem solving to deliver upon business objectives
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, effective communication, and the capacity to influence and align stakeholders are crucial for success
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and a high volume of initiatives at one time
  • Proactively prioritize the work and manage expectations
  • Curious and initiative-taker
  • Customer focused mentality

  • This is a hybrid role, with the opportunity to work both on-site at Hallmark's Headquarters and virtually from your residence in the Kansas City, MO metropolitan area.
