Position Description: Senior Project Engineer (also known as Chief Project Information Officer) is primarily responsible for organizing, managing, analyzing, and distributing project information, including data collection, documentation, reporting, and ensuring all project stakeholders have access to the necessary information, often by developing and maintaining project databases and communication channels to facilitate smooth project execution. In addition, depending on skillsets, the CPIO would use their team to use data analytics to facilitate process improvement and efficiencies. Reports to: Project Manager, Senior Project Manager or Project Executive. Project Location: Greater San Francisco Region Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Management:
- Gathering most
current data from various project sources, including team members, stakeholders, and project management tools, and organizing it into a structured web-enabled location.
- Document Control:
- Maintaining
project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, change orders, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring version control and accessibility.
- Reporting
and Analysis:
- Generating
regular updates to the web-enabled platform/reports, including status updates, progress metrics, and key performance indicators, to inform stakeholders about project performance.
- Communication Management:
- Facilitating
information flow internally and externally between project team members, stakeholders, and senior management through various communication channels like web platforms, Power BI, emails, meetings, and project management software.
- Web
Platform/Power BI Administration:
- Creating and
managing project information sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy, and developing user access controls. Managing resources needed for any technical support for the platforms either through internal or external channels.
- Visual
Sharing/Learning:
- Creating and
managing visual displays throughout the entire office and project area to ensure efficient sharing of critical information. Management of the various resources of Marketing, IT, Stakeholders, and Project Team to ensure timely and consistent updating/posting of information.
- Information Security:
- Protecting
sensitive project information by adhering to data privacy regulations and security protocols.
- Knowledge Sharing:
- Promoting
knowledge transfer within the project team by documenting lessons learned and best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Identifying
and addressing information needs of different stakeholders, ensuring they have access to relevant project updates.
- Process Improvement:
- Evaluating
project information management processes and suggesting improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned
The salary range for this position is estimated to be 120,000.00 - 180,000.00 annualized. |

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction or
similar, and minimum of twelve (12) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. - Extensive experience in construction engineering principles and techniques.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building construction materials, systems, market conditions, trade practices.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
- Proficient knowledge of accounting principles and cost control procedures.
- Proficient knowledge of estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, various building systems, codes, and requirements.
- Project management of competing demands and adherence to established deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and
attention to detail. - Proficiency in data management
tools and software, or able to lead the same. - Excellent written and verbal communications and
interpersonal skills. - Ability to analyze data and
generate insightful reports, or able to lead the same. - Understanding of project
management methodologies. - Knowledge of information
security practices. - Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
- Limited travel.
