*Description:*
As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for performing various functions related to the operation and maintenance of our data centers. This includes escorting visitors, providing remote hands support, conducting walkthroughs, processing deliveries, and performing preventative maintenance work. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers and providing excellent customer service to our clients. This is an overnight shift 7pm - 7am Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday *Key Responsibilities:* * Customer Support: Handling calls, emails, and chats for technical support. * Ticket Management: Documenting ticket progress and probing for valuable information. * Troubleshooting: Addressing Tier 1 level customer issues and changes. * Status Updates: Providing frequent updates to customers about ticket status. * SLA Compliance: Meeting and exceeding Service Level Agreements (SLAs). * Internal Collaboration: Communicating with Engineering and Outside Operations departments. * Data Center Security: Conducting walkthroughs and ensuring premises security. * Preventative Maintenance: Performing facilities work based on Methods of Procedure (MOPs). * Customer Assistance: Escorting and providing remote hands for customers at the data center. * Logistics: Processing incoming deliveries at the data center. * Special Projects: Undertaking projects as assigned by leadership. *Skills:* * Data center operations * Hardware troubleshooting * General troubleshooting skills * Customer service * Technical support * Windows 10 and Windows operating systems * Cherwell application support * Help desk support * Cable management (Cat6, Cat5) *Additional Skills & Qualifications:* * Minimum one year of IT-related experience. * A B.S. in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science/Information Systems, or Networking is a plus. * Applicable Cisco Certifications are a plus. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
