Want to be part of an innovative team, while gaining specialized therapeutic skills to make a life-long impact on the mental health of youth and their families? Thresholds' Emerging Adults Division is seeking licensed clinicians to fill Therapist roles at our growing Chicago site. These programs use evidence-informed coordinated care approaches to treat young adults struggling with serious mental illness, First Episode of Psychosis, & Clinical High Risk for Psychosis. These services are aimed at changing the trajectory of mental health needs for young people and is part of a national innovative movement in services. The multidisciplinary team provides specialized assessment, care coordination, individual therapy, family psychoeducation, medication management, vocational/educational support, & community outreach utilizing evidence informed approaches. The new therapists will receive expert training in our treatment models & play an integral role in the growth & development of our Emerging Adult programs.

The Therapist will be responsible for generating treatment plans, providing individual therapy, completing diagnostic assessments, assisting with care coordination, and leading family education efforts. In addition, they will assist with facilitating workshops, activities, and programs that will contribute to Young Adults' overall development. The Therapist works within a team-oriented, strengths-based approach, ensuring collaboration within the team and with other providers to facilitate integration of services. The successful candidate will have experience providing mental health services to young adults.

To succeed in this role, you need:



  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong basic computer skills
  • Strong document services in a clear and effective manner
  • Must function well independently and as part of a team
  • Must have a valid Drivers License
  • Daily access to a personal vehicle
  • Willingness to provide transportation for members of the program
  • Must obtain and maintain liability car insurance of:

    • $100,000 per person bodily injury
    • $300,000 per accident
    • $100,000 property damage


  • LCSW or LCPC is preferred
  • Experience with DBT and Expressive Arts is a plus.
