L3 System Administrator

A Tier L3 IT Systems Administrator job is currently available at Belcan in Evendale, OH 45215. This is a full-time, direct hire position with full benefits. To be considered for this role, you must be a US citizen and must possess a Secret Clearance or be willing to obtain successfully. Additionally, you must hold a current CompTIA Security+ CE certification/equivalent or be willing to obtain one.

We are looking for those who possess a passion for providing quality customer service and strong communication skills. This role will provide Tier 3 technical assistance around windows administration with a heavy focus on supporting Oracle databases. A Database Administrator (DBA) plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining production databases to ensure their optimal performance, security, and availability.

JOB DUTIES:
-Work within ServiceNow to track all work tasks and priorities
-Be an escalation point to L1 and L2 system administrators
-Lead/partake in all scheduled meetings
-Windows server administration including operational type tasks such as patching and managing hosted service up time
-Be a subject manner expert (SME) in Oracle database administration including the following focus areas:
-Performance Monitoring and Tuning
-Backup and Recovery
-Security Management
-Database Maintenance
-High Availability and Disaster Recovery
-Capacity Planning
-Troubleshooting and Support

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years experience managing all aspects of a Oracle Database in a production envirioment
-Minimum 5 years experience performing high level System administration including managing physical and virtual windows servers
- Experience using ITSM based ticketing systems with a preference towards ServiceNow
- Must be able to work onsite 100% of the time in Evendale, OH

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $92,500 to $120,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
