Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Specialist to join our team and advance our research and development efforts. This role involves testing raw materials and finished products, conducting experiments, analyzing commercial products, and maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will manage daily testing activities, oversee laboratory operations, and analyze data to support our innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Oversee daily laboratory operations, including product evaluations, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Manage the maintenance, calibration, and operation of all laboratory equipment.
  • Perform and supervise physical property testing procedures, ensuring compliance with standard testing protocols and maintaining data integrity.
  • Collaborate with formulation scientists, material scientists, packaging scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive testing programs.
  • Implement quality control programs to ensure reliable testing results.
  • Analyze and interpret test data to optimize product performance and prepare detailed reports with actionable insights.
  • Manage raw materials, chemicals, and laboratory supplies inventory.
  • Maintain an organized laboratory workspace and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Oversee audits to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and refine processes and procedures for robust reporting and workflow management.
  • Implement improved systems for organizing and managing laboratory data.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance laboratory methodologies.
  • Research and evaluate testing capabilities of local laboratories and universities for specialized testing services.



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences) and 3 years of laboratory experience in formulated products or material science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with analytical instruments, troubleshooting, and maintenance, along with MS Office and laboratory software.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., GLP, IST ASTM, IOSO, OSHA).
  • Ability to utilize statistical software for data analysis and research support.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask.
