The team you'll be part of

The MN Space & Defense R&D team focuses on creating customized solutions and developing LTE and 5G commercial RAN and Core products for our customers operating in NTN, defense and public safety domains. NTN project is Nokia co-operation with AST Space Mobile company that enables innovative, direct-to-mobile over-the-satellite communication in 3GPP LTE and 5G standard. Our growing defense portfolio offers end-to-end, customized tactical solutions for our customers.

We are looking for a passionate Team Manager, eager to dive in fascinating world of high-end telecommunication technologies. End-to-end perspective, variety of tasks, lightweight processes and direct contact with customers makes these projects challenging and attractive. It's a huge opportunity for personal growth and a chance to participate in creating a new quality and strengthening business position on the local labor market.

As a team manager leading software developers, you will:



  • Responsible for recruiting, on-boarding and talent retention
  • Team competence growth

  • Accountable for team commitments planning and execution
  • Set goals and evaluating performance
  • Cross-team project management related tasks

  • Drive improvement actions
  • Implement company processes and leading through change

You must have:



  • At least 10 years' experience in SW development within the telecommunications industry
  • Experience in complex and dynamic project environments
  • Decision-making skills and focus on goals
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to cope with difficult interpersonal situations
  • Experience with participative leadership and leading by example concepts
  • Proactivity and can-do spirit
  • Ability to work under pressure


It would be nice if you also have:



  • Experience in managing an IT team in international environment
  • Knowledge of Nokia MN portfolio and products
  • Good knowledge ofSW development and QA processes
