Responsibilities

Arcfield provides systems engineering, integration, and digital transformation across space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains. Come join our GEOINT Ground team within the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED) as a SETA contractor on the Geralt program.

In this position as a Systems Engineering and Technical Adviser (SETA) within our Space and Mission Engineering sector, you will:

  • Assess mission and ground segment technical impacts from Requests for Change (RFCs) across major GEOINT systems
  • Develop and maintain Solution and Program Epics for agile mission threads, coordinating with ground segments and enterprise stakeholders to document requirements and processes
  • Coordinate regularly with development contractors to manage and resolve technical and programmatic deficiencies, ensuring government stakeholders are satisfied with development contractor performance
  • Utilize organizational and communication skills to clearly and concisely present information, ensuring the government and all stakeholders are kept informed on program/mission status
  • Actively participate in program office, ground directorate, and enterprise-level forums, maintaining engagement on program/mission status of key space assets
  • Support informal and enterprise testing events, reviewing test documentation, helping to mature test plans, assessing impacts to test plan changes, monitoring test status, reporting discrepancy report data to the government, and participating in test closure events
  • Contribute to a cohesive team, working closely with other mission threads on lessons-learned, participating in digital engineering and modernization efforts, supporting the system integration efforts, and contributing to the total ground architecture

Qualifications

Required:

  • BS 10-12, MS 8-10, PhD 5-7
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly
  • Experience drafting and managing Systems Engineering requirements, including waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Understanding of Electro-Optical (EO) and/or Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Mission Processing and Command and Control systems for GEOINT satellite ground systems
  • Strong presentation, oral, and written communications skills, including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products to a government customer
  • Proven organization and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to interface effectively via written and oral forums with personnel at all levels of government
  • Experience with commercial Atlassian tools (e.g. Confluence, JIRA) or ability to learn quickly

Desired:

  • Understanding of EO and/or SAR GEOINT products and the image formation process
  • Understanding of programmatic processes, including Risk, Readiness, Budgets, and Schedules
  • Knowledge of SAFe or Agile frameworks
  • Experience assisting the government with acquisition processes and documentation for small and large-scale software development contracts
  • Experience with Systems Engineering and acquisition documentation, such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Requests for Change (RFCs)
  • Experience with Systems Engineering risk management, architectures, and verification/validation (V&V)
