Job Overview

Performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems. Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness. Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems. Logs equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system.

Key Responsibilities

Proficiency in more complex maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting mechanical issues, repairing equipment, and performing preventative maintenance. Ability to operate and maintain more advanced tools and equipment, such as welding machines, lathes, and multimeters. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Experience in diagnosing and fixing issues in machinery, such as motors, pumps, and conveyor systems. Understanding of maintenance best practices, including predictive maintenance and condition monitoring. Solid understanding of maintenance principles and the ability to apply them in various situations. Ability to document maintenance activities and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Capability to perform tasks with minimal supervision, managing time and resources effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience in maintenance or completion of an apprenticeship program.
  • Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
  • Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
  • Ability to follow blueprints.
  • Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).

Work Environment
