  • Compensation: $64,812.80 /yr
  • Worksite Location: City Center Campus

Overview / Job Summary:

The Faculty member for the Industrial Machine/Maintenace Technology Program is responsible for developing and delivering instructional content that prepares students for careers in automation technology and machine maintenance. This role includes curriculum development, hands-on training in laboratory environments, assessment of student performance, and collaboration with industry partners to ensure relevance and effectiveness of the program.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:

  • Design and deliver course content that encompasses industrial automation, electrical systems, and machine maintenance.
  • Conduct effective classroom and lab sessions that include demonstrations and hands-on activities.
  • Evaluate student performance through assessments, providing timely feedback and guidance for improvement.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to maintain a curriculum that reflects current practices and technologies.
  • Participate in program assessment and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Support student success through mentorship and advising, assisting them in achieving their career goals.
Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in discipline or subfield OR Associate Degree with minimum of 1,000 hours experience in career/technical field OR 4,000 hours worked in career/technical field

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Four years or the equivalent of four years full-time work experience in the industry, preferred.
  • Extensive experience with following preferred:
    • Electronics
    • Industrial Wiring
    • Motors & Motor Controls
    • Programmable Logic Controls
    • Instrumentation
    • Industrial Fluid Power
    • Manufacturing Automation Concepts
  • Teaching experience in adult education preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be available for required course assignments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - must be able to work with students, industry, and administrative personnel in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to use personal computer and software applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to process, enter and audit data accurately and quickly
