About the position

The Account Representative is responsible for selling Hubro Simulations to higher education business faculty within a designated territory.

Key responsibilities include following up on active leads generated through marketing and other channels, identifying prospects for key courses within assigned territory, calling upon decision makers about course needs, developing relationships with prospective users and decision-makers, presenting simulations and related content persuasively, and providing accurate sales tracking and forecasting via our CRM.

The Account Rep will work closely with Hubro's sales, marketing and customer success teams to effectively generate prospects, develop them into closed business, deliver exemplary service, and develop the business through upselling. The Account Rep represents Hubro in the marketplace and must present a professional and well-informed image to the customers with expert knowledge about Hubro's simulations.

This is a remote position, with approximately 10-15% account-based travel during the active selling season.

Essential job functions and responsibilities

The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Sales

  • Take responsibility to sell according to Hubro's Sales & Marketing strategy to achieve individual and collective sales goals.


  • Initiate outbound calling and email campaigns to qualify and convert leads into opportunities. Meet and exceed required weekly activity goals.


  • Conduct high quality prospecting to generate leads.


  • Conduct high quality virtual demonstration of simulation platform.


  • Identify upselling and win-back opportunities in assigned territory each semester, and proactively sell to those identified targets.


  • Follow up leads who have registered interest to learn more about the simulations and follow up to close the sale.


  • Respond to customer queries related to simulation selection, pricing and ancillary materials requests from your customer base.


  • Diligently follow up with leads in the pipeline to ensure that leads get the best possible chance of closing.


  • Work with the Customer Success team to ensure smooth customer handover and to identify upselling opportunities.

Product and Market Knowledge

  • Gain and maintain product expertise about Hubro's simulations, platform and offering.


  • Gain and maintain market knowledge.


  • Communicate market feedback to the Editorial, Product, and Marketing Departments; share product updates with customers.


  • Provide Editorial and Product Department teams with leads for subject matter experts and pilot testers for future simulation development.

Planning, Reporting and CRM

  • Actively collaborate with the Hubro Sales and Marketing teams to implement the current sales plans and strategies.


  • Complete sales planning (identifying courses, decision makers, enrollments and simulation-in-use information) at accounts identified within assigned territory.


  • Provide weekly, monthly, and yearly progress reports on performance as well as customer feedback to Sales, Marketing and Editorial departments.


  • Update and track sales opportunities in the CRM daily, prioritize opportunities in your pipeline, and ensure data within the CRM system is up-to-date and accurate.


  • Follow the current CRM standard processes, including using CRM features and tools to facilitate effective sales processes.

Conference Attendance/Business Travel

  • Potential travel required to exhibit at conferences and/or team meetings as required by Management.


  • Potential travel to select college campuses to conduct in-person sales calls.

Customer Relations

  • Provide excellent customer service when dealing with potential or existing customers by providing requested instructor resource materials and information in a timely manner.


  • When communicating with customers, take appropriate actions to ensure they have a positive experience with the image of the company.

Qualifications and education:

Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:

Required:


  • Bachelor's degree required with evidence of high academic achievement, preferably within business and management.


  • Demonstrated record of success in academic and professional background.


  • 2 years of sales experience.


  • Proficient in PC environment and must possess proven understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, database applications and PowerPoint.


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail


  • Cheerful telephone manner


  • Team-oriented with outstanding collaboration skills

Preferred:


  • Telephone or inside sales experience is preferred.


  • Familiarity and comfort in working with HubSpot or other CRM systems is preferred.
