Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Hudson Valley is one of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York (SUNY) system and serves nearly 9,000 students each year. The college is a recognized leader in career and transfer preparation, workforce training initiatives, distance learning and service to a diverse population of students. Hudson Valley has an extension center in Malta, NY known as HVCC North and sponsors the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center in Troy, NY. Position Summary
The Advancement Operations Manager plays a key role in fundraising and donor relations by overseeing operational aspects of the Foundation's fundraising initiatives. The primary objective is to help expand the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation's donor universe by building and maintaining relationships especially as it relates to the more than 85,000 alumni across the country. This position focuses on optimizing donor database management, maximizing fundraising potential, and ensuring smooth execution of special initiatives that that raise unrestricted funds to support the College's strategic growth priorities. The ideal candidate has a strong background in fundraising, including best practices, understanding of Raiser's Edge data software, knowledge of the Capital Region community, and a passion for advancing the mission of Hudson Valley Community College has experience in fundraising operations, donor database management, event coordination, and a deep understanding of the Capital Region community.

Key Responsibilities
Database Management & Portfolio Maximization
* Oversee and leverage the Raiser's Edge donor database to identify, cultivate, and steward potential and existing donors.
* Maintain and manage a robust donor portfolio, setting and achieving annual fundraising targets.
* Analyze donor data and trends to optimize fundraising strategies and outreach efforts.

Fundraising & Portfolio Management
* Act as a key liaison for donor relations and designated portfolio, effectively communicating the impact of donations and fostering engagement.
* Develop and execute innovative strategies to expand the Foundation's donor base and increase unrestricted giving.
* Secure new individual donors for HVCC through personal outreach, face-to-face solicitations, and targeted campaigns.
Special Initiatives & Events
* Lead and manage the Development Committee of the Foundation Board of Directors.
* Oversees the delivery and execution of the Foundation's Annual Fund Program including messaging, mailing list segmentation, timelines, multi-channel marketing, appeal follow up, acknowledgement, and stewardship.
* Oversee the Foundation's key fundraising and stewardship events, ensuring successful execution, and donor engagement.
* Serves as lead strategist for corporate engagement for the Foundation team, maximizing benefits strategy, event participation, and stewardship.
Stewardship & Relationship Management
* Ensure donors receive timely and appropriate acknowledgments, fostering long-term relationships.
* Track donor interactions in Raiser's Edge to enhance cultivation and engagement efforts.
* Identify and implement new strategies to keep donors informed and engaged in College and student success stories.
Operations Management
* Provide day-to-day operational oversight for appeal-related fundraising initiatives, ensuring alignment with Foundation goals.
* Collaborate with college departments such as Communications & Marketing team to support shared external affairs initiatives, develop aligned messaging and create content for mailing strategies.
* Work closely with the Executive Director and Foundation team to plan and implement fundraising initiatives that leverage donor data for major gifts and capital campaigns.
* Contribute to long-term strategic planning for Foundation growth and sustainability.
* Lead the production of annual reports, including the Donor Impact Report and donor surveys.
* Work with the Finance Manager to ensure compliance with CASE Reporting Standards and Management Guidelines including the CASE-VSE required by SUNY reporting.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required and 7+ years of experience in development, fundraising, or donor relations.
* Master's Degree preferred with comparable experience in higher education advancement
* Demonstrated success in fundraising operations, donor relations, and appeal solicitation.
* Proficiency with Raiser's Edge or a similar donor management database.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and steward donors effectively.
* Creative thinker and self-starter with excellent initiative.
* Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
* Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Hudson Valley Community College.
* Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions
* Evening and weekend hours required to support donor-related events and activities.
* Local travel may be necessary for in-person donor meetings.
* Requires valid driver's license and reliable transportation
* On site in person position - Requires employee to be on campus

This is a full-time 12-month, Management Confidential position with a salary range of $68,000.00 to $72,000.00.
