Job Description Johnson County's Department of Technology and Innovation (DTI) is looking to fill the position of Systems Administrator I. DTI delivers innovative and reliable technology solutions and services to advance the objectives of County staff, elected officials, and the community in a cost effective and efficient manner. First review of applications will be on March 26, 2025. The Systems Administrator position is responsible for the following:
Establishes system specifications by conferring with users; analyzes workflow, access, information, and security requirements. Develops tactical solutions for routine system support, by resolving day-to-day problems for end users of Microsoft Active Directory and other 3rd party applications.
Job Requirements Associate's degree in the following field(s) of study: Information Technology or related field and two (2) years work experience in systems design, systems software and support are required. Bachelor's degree in the following field(s) of study: Information Technology or related field is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office 365, PowerShell, VMWare and Storage technologies is preferred. Experience can substitute for education. This position is currently eligible to work in a hybrid work environment with both onsite and remote work. Residency within the Kansas City-Overland Park-Kansas City, MO-KS Combined Statistical Area, which generally includes the Kansas counties of Johnson, Wyandotte, Leavenworth, Miami, and Linn, and the Missouri counties of Jackson, Clay, Platte, Cass, and Ray, is required. _______________________________________ Johnson County Government requires successful completion of reference/background screening for all positions.
