The UHS Business Development Department is hiring a Division Director - Business Development to provide leadership for the long-term strategic objectives of assigned facilities in the areas of Business Development, Sales Management, Referral Development and Intake. Additionally, this role will lead business growth through direction of business development activities aligned to facility opportunities.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Arrange pre-scheduled and agenda driven facility visits to review key indicators, strategic plans, sales and intake productivity, data analysis, collateral and marketing activities. Provide leadership to facility DBD and leadership team in assessing market conditions and competitive activities and recommends action-based activities to position facility as provider-of-choice.
  • Guide facility DBD in evaluation of strategic plans by payer, program and target markets. Provides feedback and recommendations that are market and facility specific to facility CEO, DBD, Group Director, and SVP Operations.
  • Meet with DBDs in assigned region regularly and ensures that appropriate reports are being utilized, data is accurate and discharge information is provided to the Business Development Team. Follow up with facility to ensure recommendations are being followed and action items are completed.
  • Evaluate growth effectiveness, productivity, strengths and weaknesses. Assists in call-cycle development and evaluation, ride-a-longs, sales training and messaging development. Work in conjunction with CEO in recruiting, hiring and training of facility DBD.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on quarterly and program-specific plans to specifically support facility's growth and revenue objectives.
  • Coordinate all aspects with facilities for advertising, collateral, social media and website development and acts as the final approver for same. Provide guidance to assigned facilities regarding best practices to increase ORM and RSS participation. Oversees compliance of the UHS Media Policy and assists the Division Media Team to support facility with media relations.
  • Assist facility DBD in yearly budgeting efforts, growth objectives and community impact analysis. Ensure that DBD and Intake Director are reviewing system reports, accurately entering data, completing monthly reports, and utilizing call management system and market power information. Ensure facility DBD is actively communicating BD Department's activities and strategic objectives.
  • Evaluate managed care relationships and works in conjunction with Regional Payer Relations Managers to assure timely contract increases.
  • Work in conjunction with facility DBD's in identifying, hiring, onboarding and ongoing training of facility based Business Development Representatives.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis at facility, market and regional levels to partner with facility DBD's to develop action plans to increase occupancy.
  • Coordinate with the facility DBD to maximize the execution of focused business development activities through utilizing Trilliant Rendering Provider and market share data.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 - 8 years' experience in a behavioral health business development role.

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines. Proficient in PC software (i.e. Microsoft Office)

  • Demonstrated excellence in the fields of business development, sales and marketing management, data analysis, referral development and a demonstrated expertise in building, growing, and servicing assigned Facilities

  • Extensive travel required
