Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday - Friday, Evening shift |Sign-on Bonus & relocation assistance eligible.

Pediatric Decentralized Pharmacist Job Responsibilities:

• Completes and documents inspections of all assigned medication storage areas monthly.
• Identifies and replaces outdated/unusable drugs as documented on unit inspection forms.
• Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel.
• Verifies the daily activities of Pharmacy Technicians. Participates in the performance appraisal of Pharmacy Support personnel.
• Organizes and prioritizes work assignments. Ensures Pharmacy services are provided in a timely manner as evidenced by lack of complaints.

Pediatric Decentralized Pharmacist Additional Requirements:

• Work schedule: Monday - Friday, Evenings shift 1pm - 9:30pm. No weekends no holidays.
• Education: Bachelor degree in Pharmacy
• Experience: One (1) year pediatric experience working in a Pediatric hospital as Pharmacist preferred.
• PGY 1 and/or PGY 2- Pediatric residency experience preferred.
• Licensure: Licensed Pharmacist in the state of VA.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
