Responsibilities

We are now hiring a Risk Manager at Sea Grove Recovery, a new facility opening in 2025!

Located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Sea Grove Recovery will provide substance use treatment for adults, as well as dual diagnosis treatment for adults with a co-occurring mental health disorder. The 41-bed facility is in a serene, wooded environment and is designed to maximize healing and meet the needs of every patient who attends treatment. Sea Grove offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP) that takes place for most of the day throughout the week with PHP lodging available. The program allows for those in our care to receive treatments and therapies throughout the day in an environment conducive to healing and a treatment plan built around their individual needs. In addition to the substance use program, Sea Grove Recovery is equipped to provide treatment to those with a substance use disorder and a co-occurring mental health disorder.

The Risk Manager has broad responsibility to protect the facility's assets from loss. Risk management activities include interfacing with the corporate risk management department, administering the UHS Risk Management Program on a day-to-day basis within the facility, managing and analyzing risk management data, conducting risk management educational programs, complying with risk management related standards by accrediting and regulatory agencies with the objective of enhancing patient safety, promoting patient safety, quality care, and minimizing loss to protect the assets of the facility. The Risk Manager coordinates loss control efforts and advises management and administration on all potential sources of loss and recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure. The structure and functions of the Risk Management Program are designed so as to comply with guidelines and standards of TJC, CMS, other regulatory agencies, and the UHS Risk Management Program.

This position will also be responsible for HIM Management, to include maintaining and analyzing medical records to ensure accuracy by the established standards, working with the UHS Corporate Business Office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience required. RHIT and CCS or CPC certification preferred.
