The Data Privacy and Policy Coordinator will:

Support the Associate General Counsel in his role as North America Data Privacy Official to ensure the business's performance and compliance with data privacy related initiatives to support privacy related reporting and projects, as well as support the business in its day-to-day execution of data privacy related matters as they arise. In addition, role will assist the North America Compliance Officer in the monitoring of compliance processes and policies throughout the region.



  • Assist in the development, implementation, and training of business in data privacy and update standardized forms and processes for data privacy function.
  • Maintain awareness of privacy regulation developments for compliance purposes, including being a self-starter in attending trainings and updates. IAPP certification should be achieved (at company cost).
  • Maintain records, including internal data privacy website. Completion and creation of data privacy reports and filings in fulfillment of internal globally requirements and applicable regional and local laws.
  • Manage regions departmental data protection security protocols, including training and overseeing functions in their fulfillment of security requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal IT team in the granting of access ot personal information protected by applicable privacy rules.
  • In accordance with standards set by North America Data Privacy Official, review third party data privacy document provided as part of contracting process with customers and vendors.
  • Create schedule for monitoring of both compliance and data privacy processes to ensure on-going region-wide adherence to policies and processes. Implement and carryout monitoring of such processes. Serve as primary administrator in internal audit of compliance and data privacy functions in support of regional compliance officer and data protection official.
  • Contribute, refine, and maintain contract models, policies, and organize, manage, and archive confidential personal information and compliance documents. Trusted custodian of confidential information.
  • Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

Your Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Privacy certification from IAPP is a plus.

Related Experience:

Minimum two (2) years experience in data privacy and compliance administration.

Special Competencies or Certifications:



  • Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, Federal Anti-kicback statute, and Physician's Sunshine Law is a plus
  • Detail Oriented
  • Good listening skills and ability to carry over instruction to similar tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in high pressure environment and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter and ability to work both with a team and independently.
  • Strong proficiency in WORD, PowerPoint, Excel, and willingness and ability to learn other software as needed (e.g., NetDocs, SharePoint, Vizio)
  • Ability to focus on details, recall/retain information.
  • Superior written/verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment both independently and within a team.

Draeger has several sites located across North America as well as field-based sales and service positions. Our North America headquarters is located in Telford, PA just north of Philadelphia. We also have US sites in Andover, MA, and Houston, TX. Our Canada site is located in Mississauga, Ontario.

Our US headquarters located north of Philadelphia in Telford, Pennsylvania is our US manufacturing site for our Neonatal product line supplying many global customers as well as production support for Draeger's Safety products. This location also serves as the key site for essential US functions which includes Medical Sales and Service Management, Medical Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Quality and Finance.
