We are hiring for a Merchandising Projects Success Manager, who will work closely with the VP, Category Management and Merchandising to document, maintain and report on the Merchandising Team strategy, goals and objectives, and project plan documentation, and tracking. They will be adept to finding solutions that ensure priority projects they track are delivered on time and within budget. They will collaborate with all resources across the Merchandising Team serving over 400 convenience stores located throughout New England, New York, Virginia and Texas.

"Gauges" of Responsibility

  • Works with all CMM business leaders to document, maintain, and adjust the CMM Strategy Document, and will report tracking to the VP, CMM monthly.
  • Collaborates with CMM business leaders to breakdown the larger strategy objectives down to defined projects, and milestones.
  • Project manages identified priority efforts by working with the business, identifying, and documenting required steps, milestones, and ownership across the CMM team and other stakeholders.
  • Works with CMM leadership to identify workload and resource allocation and find opportunities across the team.
  • Collaborates with business owners and stakeholders to determine the specifications of the project.
  • Ability to manage and quarterback multiple projects from beginning to end. The number of projects is dependent on size and complexity.
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, and vendors as needed.
  • Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables.
  • Report project status updates, outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate channels and escalating issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports and present to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience is required.
  • Familiarity with ERP Systems (Jira and Confluence Preferred)
  • Proficient using Microsoft programs - Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines. Proven success working with all levels of management.
  • Perform other tasks and assignments to be determined by leadership team because of changing business circumstances in a spirit of continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Ability to cultivate effective working relationships across multiple levels of an organization.
