Description

The Vendor Management Manager, in coordination with the Director of Financial Reporting, is responsible for the development and implementation of Neighborhood's administrative contracting strategy. This involves the identification of vendors for contracting, including negotiating and review of administrative, technology and vendor related contracts. Provides strategic advice to various business groups across Neighborhood, including all stakeholders in the development of the contractual relationship. Post contract execution, the Vendor Management Manager works with the business units to ensure that the vendor is performing in accordance with their contract requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Manage the entire contracting process from:

    • Acquisition phase of the inception of the identification of vendors, conducting an RFP when needed,
    • Document Development - the review of contracts into which Neighborhood enters,
    • Expert assistance with the negotiation of pricing and terms and conditions,
    • Long term assistance to business units to manage the contracted vendors and their service level agreements.


  • Negotiate contracts between Neighborhood and other companies
  • Lead Neighborhood's Supplier Diversity Program.

    • Develop and execute a strategic program plan for enhancing supplier diversity, aligning with the Neighborhood's overall business goals and strategic priorities.
    • Develop procedures, processes, standards for the business (supplier) diversity program.
    • Lead the integration of supplier diversity principles in the sourcing processes and procurement processes.
    • Actively participate in strategy meetings, contributing to the development and implementation of initiatives that promote economic inclusion and social responsibility.
    • Create, track and audit all comprehensive reporting surrounding supplier diversity


  • Coordinate the completion of pre-contractual activities such as the submission of relevant contract documentation, and strategic conversations with all levels of management.
  • Assist Legal in the oversight and accuracy of the contracting database.
  • Advise leadership on contract status, legal risks and business terms of various deals.
  • Advise and consult with Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management/Information Security and other internal stakeholders on relevant matters.
  • Reviews and advises on current policies, procedures, handbooks and updates; provides guidance on policies or procedures that should be developed to promote compliant and efficient operations.
  • Provide the necessary business support to various departments impacted by the negotiation of contracts to ensure their operations are cost-effective.
  • Maintain contracting standard guidelines
  • Provide training to company on Vendor Management topics.
  • Other duties as required
  • Corporate Compliance Responsibility - As an essential function, responsible for complying with Neighborhood's Corporate Compliance Program, Standards of Business Conduct, applicable contracts, laws, rules and regulations, policies, and procedures as it applies to individual job duties, the department, and the Company. This position must exercise due diligence to prevent, detect, and report unlawful and/or unethical conduct by fellow co-workers, professional affiliates and/or agents.

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least five (5) or more years of vendor oversight experience
  • Previous experience in supplier diversity program management
  • General contracting background in the areas of software licensing, consulting services, as well as experience in acquisition planning assistance.
  • Experience with market research to identify vendor relationships.
  • Must be able to handle complex contractual negotiations with vendors, internal business clients, outside attorneys and providers.
  • Solid organizational and project management skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of management including Senior Leadership
  • Partnering and influencing skills; ability to deal effectively with clients, colleagues, outside entities and management and the ability to engage colleagues from a business as well as a contract management perspective
  • Able to handle complex IT, Marketing and other vendor transactions from start to finish
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills and significant experience in advising clients
  • Ability to see the big picture and help integrate contract/vendor management across the organization
  • Impeccable integrity, good judgment and well-honed analytical skills


Preferred:



  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business management
  • Contracting background in managed care services and healthcare contracting
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting the operations of a managed care company, including but not limited to HIPAA and data privacy laws.
  • Experience with systems such as Oracle ERP
