Position Summary: The Social Services Program Specialist reports to the SDSS and communicates with Divisional staff in order to assist with and make improvements to social services processes and programming. This position will also assist with data reports and administrative tasks to support the SDSS and the Divisional Social Services department.

As time allows, the Program Specialist may engage in Social Services-related activities as directed by the SDSS.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Assist with and make improvements to social services processes and programming for the Great Lakes Division
  • Develop and maintain the GLD Social Services SharePoint
  • Assist with data reports as needed (communicating with the Data Systems Administrator as appropriate)
  • Communicate effectively with units when updating social services processes and programming
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports as requested
  • Provide administrative support to the SDSS and Divisional Social Services Department
  • Assist with CCP and other POH-related activities as needed
  • Work with the SDSS on other Social Services-related tasks as time allows
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Additional Responsibilities:



  • Experience in administrative and/or human services with strong attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills.


Qualifications:

Education/Experience:



  • Associates Degree in Human Services-related field and 2 years relevant experience preferred.



Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:



  • Ability to be creative, original, intuitive, and perceptive
  • Ability to think logically and critically
  • Ability to envision a project from beginning to end
  • Ability to solve complex problems, make appropriate judgements and decisions


Computer Skills:



  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and various video conferencing platforms.


Certificates and Licenses:



  • Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
