Senior Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Design Engineer to join our New Product Development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing technology and a passion for innovation. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing new motor products from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop manufacturing processes for new platform motor designs and customer-specific designs.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to determine the best manufacturing methods.

  • Design and implement production workflows, equipment, and tooling.

  • Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Investigate and propose potential areas for automation during the new product development process as well as with newly launched programs.

  • Develop process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related issues.

  • Design and implement tooling to facilitate building motor components, prioritizing safety, quality, and productivity.

  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technology.

  • Provide technical support and training to production staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably with new product development experience.

  • Proficiency in CAD software.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, equipment, and tooling design.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
