As a Group Manager, Technical Project Manager in Molex's Copper Solutions Business Unit you will manage a team of Technical Project Managers and lead highly motivated, world-wide, cross functional teams through the New Product Development Process from Project Initiation Approval to the Start of Production. You are comfortable leading WW cross functional teams, working directly with customers, mentoring both team members and direct reports, solving problems, and making/being accountable for project-level and portfolio-level decisions. You have strong project management experience in "technical" business environments. Molex's Copper Solutions Business Unit (CSBU) is a global team that works together to deliver exceptional products to worldwide telecommunication and data center customers. CSBU is one of the most highly technically advanced business units within Molex. Its objective is to enable the technology that customers will need in the next 2-5 years. What You Will Do * Lead & manage project portfolios and ensure the success of the overall portfolio by practicing resource planning, proactive constraint mgmt., & championing a Principle Based Management culture. * Lead, train & develop a team of world-class project managers * Manage Project Portfolio Change Control and Decision Documentation. * Ensure Molex key technology projects seamlessly support our customer's finished good project deliverables through close collaboration and effective communication with our customer. * Ensure Project Managers develop internal & external facing Project Charters that clearly articulate project strategy, scope, financials, and schedule. Manage change to that vision through effective Project Change Mgmt. * Lead Project Plan development, management, and closure (transfer to production owner). * Proactively identify, document, and execute risk reduction activities to minimize Project Risks associated with Cost, Quality, and/or Timing that could negatively affect Project Plan achievement. * Own Project Portfolio Reporting communication to both Management and Customers. * Lead and mentor team in project management principles, PDP processes, risk management, issue resolution, decision making, etc. * Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, manufacturing, supply management, or related field * Product Development Specific Project Management Experience in a Technical Environment (8+ years) * Customer-Facing or External Executive Facing Experience (5+ years) * Experience leading multi-national teams in a matrixed organization * Natural Leader with sense of ownership and accountability * Strong presentation and communication skills * Strong organizational, interpersonal, & decision-making skills * Ability to work mornings and evenings to participate in North America to Asia Pacific meetings * Willingness to obtain PMP certification within 1 year * Willingness to travel domestically and internationally * Self-driven with ability to thrive in a remote working environment What Will Put You Ahead * Previous Management Experience with Direct Reports * PMP Certified * Master of Business Administration (MBA) * Engineering or Manufacturing degree or experience * SAP Experience For this role, we anticipate paying $170,000- $200,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
