Temporary Maintenance Technician - Industrial Equipment

Starting May 1st

Employment Type: Temporary- Covering Leave of Absence

Are you a hands-on problem solver with expertise in electrical and mechanical diagnostics and repair? We are seeking a Temporary Maintenance Technician to support our industrial production facility by ensuring the reliable operation of a wide range of equipment.


What You'll Do:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial production equipment, including belt furnaces, vertical kilns, hydraulic presses, sandblasters, and specialized process equipment.
  • Maintain plant systems such as compressed air systems, exhaust fans, wastewater pumps, and heated chemical processing tanks.
  • Work with electrical control systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), AC variable speed drives, and process controllers.
  • Utilize temperature and pressure sensing devices to ensure proper operation of production processes.
  • Perform basic welding and machining (lathe and vertical mill) - helpful but not required.
  • Use software tools for instrument and control system communication.
  • Read and interpret schematics and diagrams, research technical issues online, and communicate effectively via email.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping and work order documentation.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and external service providers to improve and modify processes and equipment.


What You Bring:

  • Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to use a multimeter for diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, AC drives, and process control systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel for communication and documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lead and contribute to process improvement efforts.
