VS (Vehicle component Solutions) Company (https://www.lg.com/global/mobility) of LG Electronics focuses on commercializing environmentally responsible automotive components and core solutions based on LG's proprietary technologies. A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry.

As the Manager, SCM you will:

Responsibilities:



  • Lead the implementation of the Logistics Strategic Plan
  • Closely align with the operational and profitability goals in line with the company directives
  • Lead the effort to refine the technology roadmap
  • Drive the highest possible efficiencies while delivering continued value through optimization efforts
  • Assist with premium freight mitigation process
  • Gather and analyze logistics data to assess each step in the supply chain
  • Regularly monitor and manage the product flow process from materials acquisition to final delivery
  • Update applicable databases with logistics data
  • Develop, evaluate, and revise logistics policies, procedures, and plans
  • Oversee warehouse to ensure that products are received, stored, and shipped safely and efficiently
  • Manage and address routine/non-routine issues in the areas of the supply chain, production and warehouse sites, and customs-related matters to keep products moving
  • Research supply chain issues to identify potential problems and preemptively address them
  • Stay up to date on the latest innovations, trends, and market competition application of logistics practices
  • Other duties may apply


Skills:



  • In-depth knowledge of distribution and shipping methods
  • Lead and develop a Team
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and metrics
  • Problem-solving skills to take quick and decisive action when the supply chain breaks down
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with division headquarters offices, warehouse managers, manufacturing operations, carriers, suppliers, customs, and customs broker
  • Demonstrated clear/concise written communication skills to compile reports, respond to inquiries/requests, and develop applicable policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with logistics tracking software, ERP systems, Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Ability to think outside the box, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and manage competing priorities/multitask when necessary


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • 7-10 years' experience in supply chain and logistics within automotive industry
  • 5+ years leadership experience (experience previously leading, developing, and managing a team)
