SCOPE/CONTACTS:

Incumbent is in daily contact via telephone, email correspondence and face-to-face interaction with customers, vendors, other employees, and various departments of the Bank. Results of work are reviewed, and physical effort required is light. Professional demeanor is a must.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • The primary duty of this position is to input invoices into the accounts payable software, encoding them with the proper expense account and ensuring they are paid timely.
  • Review potential fraud cases, to include researching and resolving outstanding items.
  • Other duties may include General Ledger data entry and performing accounting, reconciliation, and general office duties for bank operations.
  • Generally, the incumbent is expected to assume assigned workload under policies and procedures set up by the Controller.
  • In addition, the incumbent will be part of a team that supports all operational, customer service/support activities for the bank, and will be expected to perform, with little supervision, a variety of duties as a part of this team.
  • Incumbent has no supervision over other employees.
  • Actively participate in the sales and service culture, support the values of the organization, and follow established Bank policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent is required. Prior accounting and/or banking experience is preferred. Other qualifications include:
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
    • Proficient in 10 key by touch
  • Experience with AvidAscend, Workday and JHA Bank core application would be a competitive advantage.
  • Important to this position is a commitment to provide excellent customer service; accuracy; flexibility/judgment; courteous/professional demeanor, and the ability to multi-task.
