The overall function of this position is to support the Human Resources department in administration of leaves of absence (including FMLA/OFLA, and Paid Leave Oregon, etc.), ADA accommodations, and administer the Worker's Compensation process.

Duration: Temporary 4 months (Onsite)

Hourly: $34.85 - $45.31/hr

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Oversee all FMLA/OFLA and Paid Leave Oregon leaves, ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws, detailed tracking and record keeping, and adequate communication with employees and managers.
  • Administer the Worker's Compensation process including initial contact with employee and supervisor, monitoring and tracking the claim process, obtain work status forms, act as main contact with claims adjustors, lead Return to Work (RTW) process, etc.
  • Support managers with timecard coding while employees are on leave.
  • Utilize the Employer-at-Injury Program (EAIP) to include wage subsidy, worksite modification, tools and equipment, and other resources available.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management throughout the Worker's Compensation process.
  • Provide analytical support and reporting related to leaves and workers' compensation.
  • Coordinates ADA reasonable accommodation requests to ensure they are completed promptly.
  • Act as liaison for Employee Assistance Program to coordinate onsite debriefs and other special assignments.
  • Respond to employee benefits inquiries relating to leaves, ADA reasonable accommodation requests, and worker's compensation and serve as a liaison between employees and respective benefit carriers to resolve issues when needed. Conduct Leave of Absence training for new employee orientation. Act as a positive, collaborative, and solution-focused member of the HR team.
  • Cross-train and provide back-up to other areas of HR when needed including employee investigations of policy violations.
  • Assist in improving HR processes through recommendations, research, and implementation.
  • Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and to CCC policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security. Support compliance with all privacy and security requirements pursuant to community partners' and outside providers' patient confidentiality agreements, including privacy and security requirements for EMR access. This includes immediately reporting any breach of protected health information or personal identification information of any person receiving CCC services by CCC or an outside provider to the CCC Compliance Department, as well as to your supervisor or their designee.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field or high school or GED and equivalent combination of relevant skills and experience.
  • 2 years of experience administering OFLA/FMLA leaves required.
  • Experience with reasonable accommodations and knowledge of applicable laws
  • Experience working with Workers' Compensation claims preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Human Resource functions and applicable Employment Law.
  • Competency in the Microsoft Office Suite programs with proficiency in Excel required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit.
  • Ability to adhere to Central City Concern's drug-free workplace which encourages a safe, healthy and productive work environment and strictly complies with the Drug-Free Work Place Ace of 1988.An employee shall not, in the workplace, unlawfully manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess or use a controlled substance or alcohol. If using a vehicle for agency use, must possess a current driver's license, access to a vehicle, and qualify as an Acceptable Driver as designated in Central City Concern's Fleet Safety policy. Must pass an initial driver training within 60 days of being an approved driver and continued recertification training. Must maintain vehicle insurance coverage of a minimum of $100,000/$300,000 personal auto liability coverage.
  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects.
  • Must adhere to agency's non-discrimination policies.
  • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, political affiliation, cultural backgrounds, lifestyles, and sexual orientations, treating each individual with respect and dignity.
