The Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) receives direction operationally from the Endocrinology LVN Manager and is supervised by Endocrinology clinicians and the Associate Medical Director. Works collaboratively with Primary Care Physicians and Endocrinology Team focusing on meeting the educational needs of patients with type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. Supports overall vision of the Optum patient experience by achieving a positive balance of health care, cost outcomes and patient satisfaction of patients with diabetes. Promotes person-centered care, driving integration, a focus on behavioral health, leveraging technology, integrating related conditions and achieving the quadruple aim of population health, quality of the patients care experience, cost associated with care, and meaningfulness of the provider's experiences. Ensures standards of care are implemented and in compliance with all state and federal regulations, standards and practice and Optum policies and procedures. Primary Responsibilities:

The hourly range for this role is $28.61 to $56.06 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
