Position Overview This role can be based in Denver, CO in alignment with our flexible work policy (3 days in, 2 days flexible). Vantage is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Manager, GCO Programs to lead initiatives focused on reducing construction-related costs globally, with an added emphasis on new product introduction (NPI). This role will oversee the Global Cost Optimization program, ensuring cost efficiency and budgetary improvements while collaborating across various teams. Unlike traditional construction management roles, this position is not responsible for direct construction execution but will focus on optimizing expenditures, driving cost-reduction programs, and integrating cost strategies into the successful introduction of new data center products and solutions. The Senior Manager, GCO Programs will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Development Delivery, Design, Procurement, Product Development, and Finance, to implement cost-saving strategies, streamline product launches, and enhance financial efficiency within Vantage's global development portfolio. Essential Job Functions: * Lead and manage the Global Cost Optimization program, identifying and implementing strategies to reduce capital expenditures and support cost-efficient new product introductions across Vantage's North American and global portfolios. * Develop and maintain cost analysis frameworks to inform business-level decisions on expenditure, cost-saving opportunities, and investment in new product offerings. * Partner with New Site Development (NSD), Construction (CON), Product Development, and Site Selection/Market Development (MKTDEV) teams to ensure accurate cost planning, forecasting, and budgeting associated with new products and innovations. * Maintain and improve internal processes related to cost data management, ensuring cost efficiency, financial transparency, and alignment with product development timelines. * Conduct cost studies at various project phases, with a particular emphasis on conceptual planning, pre-construction optimization, and cost-effective new product introductions. * Evaluate and recommend cost-saving opportunities through alternative technologies, value engineering, procurement strategies, and innovative product solutions. * Review and analyze contractor proposals, bid packages, and general cost structures, especially those associated with new product concepts and construction means and methods, to identify potential savings and efficiencies. * Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess and mitigate cost, schedule, and product-introduction risks associated with new and ongoing projects. * Analyze cost trends, market insights, and lessons learned to continuously refine and enhance cost management and product introduction practices. * Utilize industry-leading cost/estimating software and tools, including Power BI, to track, analyze, and report on cost-saving initiatives and product introduction performance. * Ensure alignment between cost optimization strategies, new product introductions, and Vantage's overall business objectives. * Responsible for developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and scope to ensure successful execution and delivery of cost optimization and NPI programs. * Travel as required, up to 20%, to support program implementation and collaboration across teams. Job Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * 12+ years of experience in construction cost management, estimating, or cost optimization, preferably within data centers, oil & gas, or large-scale infrastructure projects. * Proven expertise in identifying and implementing cost-saving strategies in large-scale construction or development programs. * Experience working with procurement teams, product development teams, and general contractors to optimize costs, negotiate pricing, and ensure successful product introductions. * Familiarity with data center development, including mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, and innovative product cost components. * Proficiency in cost analysis tools and software, including Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Procore, and other industry-standard estimating platforms. * Proven expertise in identifying and implementing cost-saving strategies and successfully launching new products or solutions in large-scale construction or development programs. * Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, financial data, and product requirements to make informed cost-saving recommendations. * Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and facilitate successful product launches. * Strong knowledge of capital expenditure management, cost forecasting, value engineering, and product lifecycle costing. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and cross-functional product development teams. * Experience leading cost management and new product introduction programs at a strategic level, influencing decision-making across multiple departments. * Travel up to 20% as needed to support program implementation and business needs.
