POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6:00AM - 2:30PM) Machinist I based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist I is responsible for performing machine setups, tool changes, and adjusting as necessary.

HIRING SALARY RANGE:Base Salary $18.56/hr - $22.00/hrand mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

WHAT YOU WILL DO



  • Operate the machine according to standard operating instructions (SOP)
  • Document and inspect qualityof work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP)
  • Use micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and comparators
  • Understand work orders and routings
  • Follow all environmental, health, & safety EHS policies and procedures including use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Daily 5S/housekeeping



WHAT WE REQUIRE



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Extensive experience operating, setups, tool changes, etc.
  • Understanding of shop math & blueprint reading/comprehension Geometric Dimensional and Tolerance(GD&T)
  • Ability to perform advanced quality inspections
  • Professional communication skills
