The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

SPA's NATO Allied Command Transformation Group, within JOID, provides capability development, portfolio management, program management, quality management, cost estimation analysis, standardization, reporting, software solutions and information management, and capability management support. We also provide an improved capability requirements capture process, including the generation, documentation and tracing of user requirements, with appropriate technical scrutiny, over the entire lifecycle of the requirements from capability definition through capability realization and capability usage.

We have a near-term need for a Demonstration Team Communication Analyst to provide onsite support for NATO Allied Command Transformation in Norfolk, VA.



Responsibilities

The candidate would be supporting Senior NATO command leadership. The NATO SACT Demonstration Team is a strategic initiative designed to showcase the transformative power of SACT's cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions to a wide range of audiences, including NATO leadership, Nations, International Staff, Military and Civil Institutions, and external stakeholders. The Demo Team will employ a variety of formats to communicate SACT's work, including live demonstrations, simulations, interactive workshops, and digital platforms. The candidate will craft compelling narratives promoting current command initiatives, develop senior leadership presentations that convey key messaging, collaborate with a wide variety or cross-functional teams, provide consistent brand messaging, develop short-notice crisis management communication, support high-profile events and product launches, and deliver media releases/other communications to support current work.



Qualifications

Required:

    Bachelor's degree in a field such as Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • NATO Secret clearance or national equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations/public affairs
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with professional storytelling and engaging audiences
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in crafting strategic, results-driven communications and campaigns
  • Minimum 2 years of working with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, graphic designers, videographers, and PR professionals
  • Proficiency with marketing and communication tools and project management software, including management reporting
  • Experience with managing and fostering relationships across all levels
  • Experience with international organizations or multinational teams and working in a military or defense environment
  • Knowledge of NATO structures and procedures
  • Experience with video production and editing
