Position Title: Production Supervisor
Wage: $25-$30/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-4:30pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Production Supervisor for a company in Darien, WI. This is a contract to hire role. Production Supervisor Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and meet company quality standards - Manage the workflow to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime - Oversee the operation of welding equipment, press machines, and other fabrication tools, ensuring proper usage and maintenance - Review production schedules and work orders to determine priorities and ensure all materials and resources are available - Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations, promoting a culture of safety on the production floor - Monitor employee performance, provide training, and offer coaching to improve skills and productivity - Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to equipment, quality, or production delays - Conduct regular inspections of workpieces to ensure welds meet company standards - Collaborate with other departments to ensure that customer requirements and project deadlines are met - Maintain accurate production records and generate reports on performance, progress, and any issues that arise Production Supervisor Requirements: - Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with a solid understanding of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) - Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a manufacturing or fabrication environment - Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of welding equipment, press machines, and other fabrication tools - Strong knowledge of safety protocols and ability to enforce safety standards on the production floor - Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints - Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and interact with other departments - Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines - Welding certifications or relevant industry training - Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives - Knowledge of CNC machines or automated fabrication processes - Ability to stand for extended periods - Ability to lift up to 50lbs or more as needed - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, noisy production environment QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
