* Base Pay Range: $68,266 - $111,426/year, based on experience


ABOUT THE JOB

Come join our multidisciplinary oncology rehabilitation team at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. We have an immediate opening for a Physical Therapist/Certified Lymphedema Therapist in our Cancer Rehabilitation Clinic located inside Ellis Fischel. Our therapy team collaborates with medical and surgical oncology teams to provide pre-operative and post-operative therapy as well as general oncology rehabilitation to help patients regain quality of life during oncology treatment into survivorship. In this position, you will assess and implement treatment programs for patients with goals of restoring function, mobility, and quality of life. Candidates should have experience and/or strong interest in working with the following:

* Oncology rehabilitation

* Manual Therapy

* Lymphedema Therapy

* Post Op Surgery Oncology

Ellis Fischel Cancer Rehabilitation Clinic is the premier provider of outpatient, multi-disciplinary cancer rehabilitation in Mid-Missouri providing patient access to cancer treatment, physical, occupational, and speech therapy in a single location.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Maintain standards in accordance with the code of ethics of the APTA and the State of Missouri Practice Act to maintain eligibility for licensure.

2. Specialty certifications and/or on the job training may be required to work with specific patient populations.

3. Perform comprehensive patient evaluations in a time sensitive manner and administer intervention that requires the advanced skills of a licensed clinician. Correlate data from the assessment to determine an individualized physical therapy plan of care directed toward goals based on a developmentally appropriate approach.

4. Administer treatment that requires the advanced skills of a licensed clinician.

5. Complete documentation according to MUHC and Mizzou Therapy Services department guidelines and policies.

6. Collaborate and communicate with multi-disciplinary team, including, but not limited to: physicians, nursing staff, case management, fellow therapists (PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP), PSR, and rehab technicians via verbal and written means.

7. Provide oversight to Physical Therapy Assistants and rehab technicians in accordance with Missouri Practice Act.

8. Actively identify and participate in training, education, development activities, and/or supervise Physical Therapy or Physical Therapy Assistant students to improve own knowledge and performance, including acquiring the CEU's needed to maintain state licensure in the State of Missouri.

Preferred Certified Lymphedema Therapist.

Will consider PT who is willing to pursue Certified Lymphedema Therapy coursework prior to or at onset of hire.

Must be licensed or licensed eligible to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Missouri.

New CAPTE certified Physical Therapy program graduates must have a limited license to practice in the state of Missouri before their employment start date. The limited permit to practice must remain in good standing to receive pay as a physical therapist until they have obtained licensure.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
