MCI is North America's leader in motor coaches for both the public and private markets. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Parts Supervisor to lead our Parts Department. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in parts operations, particularly in buses, trucks, or heavy equipment and a proven ability to manage inventory, support technicians, and maintain vendor relationships. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader who excels in fast-paced, service-driven settings.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Service Center Manager, the Parts Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Parts Department. This role ensures adequate inventory levels to support the organization's financial goals and service fill rate objectives, while maintaining strong vendor relationships and operational efficiency.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Manage, direct, and control the daily activities of the Parts Department, supporting both technicians and retail customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain vendor relationships, including NFI Parts and other local suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate minimum and maximum stocking levels for all inventoried parts.
  • Ensure proper quantities of shop supplies are maintained for both general and heavy repair areas.
  • Keep the parts room and warehouse areas clean, organized, and operational.
  • Complete all required Parts Department reports daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Oversee warranty parts retention and shipping processes.
  • Generate and review warranty parts reports through CCS.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts and manage core returns.
  • Participate in local meetings as required.
  • Process invoices for payment as needed on a daily basis.
  • Review all open purchase orders weekly and manage credit card transaction reports.
  • Ensure timely delivery of parts to workstations as directed by the Shop Supervisor.
  • Lead and participate in all QAS (Quality Assurance System) meetings.
  • Travel as required (Less than 10%)

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a similar environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in parts management, preferably in Buses, Trucks, or Heavy Equipment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
