What You Will Do:

We are looking for a Heat Transfer Engineer who will help develop the next generation of heat transfer technologies and products for JCI Applied systems. This position requires a validated understanding of the fundamentals of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat and mass transfer. Knowledge of HVACR systems is preferred along with a general knowledge of industrial application of heat transfer principles. Experience with testing and evaluation of results in an engineering laboratory environment is desired. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

How You Will Do It:

Working with supervision from senior staff:

  • Develop test plans for heat transfer performance of chiller and AHU components.

  • Evaluate and report test results on components and system level heat transfer.

  • Provide heat transfer support for global product development teams.

  • Support technology development and product development projects to augment JCI's positions in data center cooling, low GWP refrigerants and commercial heat pump Development.

What We Look For:

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 2 years of work experience or research/internships is preferred.

  • Strong background in heat transfer, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.

  • Knowledge of the JCI Building Efficiency product portfolio desirable; HVAC&R. confirmed experience desirable.

  • Ability to travel 10% of time.
